Virginia Tech Branding NIL Request Form
Please review and acknowledge the information below prior to submitting your request to use Virginia Tech branding. 

The office of Licensing and Trademarks promotes and protects the Virginia Tech brand including the name, nicknames, logos, branding elements, and other identifying marks. Licensing and Trademarks reviews all internal and external uses of trademarks including but not limited to advertising, stationary, websites, social media, co-branding, facilities, apparel, promotional products, and merchandise. 
 
Virginia Tech marks may not be used in any manner that suggests or implies that Virginia Tech endorses other organizations, companies, products, services, political parties or views, or religious organizations or beliefs.

All print materials and products bearing bearing Virginia Tech branding must be produced by licensed vendors. This includes, but is not limited to, apparel, headwear, footwear, outerwear, housewares, brochures, postcards, display items, and promotional items. Any company wishing to use Virginia Tech branding must hold a license with the university. You can find a list of licensed vendors and how to become licensed at brand.vt.edu/licensing. 

Rights to use Virginia Tech created photography and/or video footage must be cleared through Catapult and licensing fees must be paid for such use.

The use of Virginia Tech branding in conjunction with a third party (such as a business, non-profit organization, etc.) will be reviewed in conjunction with Virginia Tech Sports Properties and evaluated based on the third party’s current involvement with Virginia Tech Sports Properties. Third parties that do not have a sponsorship agreement, or have limited rights with Virginia Tech Sports Properties, will not be allowed to use Virginia Tech branding. They may reach out to Virginia Tech Sports Properties to learn more about co-branding with Virginia Tech Athletics.
